Scan musical notes, automatically recognize the notes and hear the music play!
Using "musical OCR" - OMR, this app can sight read sheet music.

This is the Pro version which supports load and save of captures and exporting to MIDI. Note that loading from the camera roll or image library is not supported, only loading previously saved captures.

NOTE: Music recognition is a difficult problem. This app does not support the complete set of notation, for instance whole notes and the alto clef are not recognized. Depending on how the print looks and the quality of the photo the app may have trouble recognizing the notes and symbols correctly - do not expect perfect results!

Have you ever wondered about the melody of a new song in a song book? Are you learning an instrument? Learning a new song for the choir?
iSeeNotes can help you!

Using iSeeNotes, you can take a picture of a piece of sheet music using your device, and it will be converted into sound using optical music recognition.

Place the printed score in a well lit location, hold the camera steady and press the button for iSeeNotes to take a photo.

Poor
Application is very very poor is not value for buying
Nice try
It is not yet in an usable condition. At least not on my iPad2.
Missing import of Photos
The description sounds promising but i havent been able to test as it is currently not possible to use photos to recognize notes. You are forced to use the camera. As i have no printed notes and only some saved ones i cant test. Even the Pro Version can only load previously recognized notes.
Does not do what it says it does dont buy. Im asking for a refund
When I used this app I thought it would be better than the free version but clearly there is much work to be done. It read accidental a as notes. Skipped notes regardless of length. It read the treble left as a note. It read some ties as notes resulting in extra major 3rds added. It cannot read an entire page of music as well just short passages. For me it did not recognize multiple staffs and read them as single staffs. This is where I gave up on the product it pro abs has many more issues
Great idea, but needs some work
I have bees looking for something to help me learn more complicated scores, and got really excited about this one. The video on their site is misleading. If you take a picture of a full page, it repeatedly says to "GET CLOSER". I could only get it to play 2 measures at a time and even then it played the treble staff first and then the bass staff. This app appears to be less than a week old, so I will give it 3 stars for a good idea, and in the hope they will iron out the bugs.
